About the Job:

The position of Sales Director will have the primary responsibility for driving revenue growth and shaping the strategic direction of our chemical vertical sales team. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on leadership to maximize sales opportunities, enhance customer relationships, and drive the success of the sales team. Additionally, as a manager, you will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing sales and solutions team.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Sales Leadership:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
    • Lead and inspire a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
    • Foster a customer-centric culture within the sales team to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Collaborate with the executive team to define and implement the overall sales and solutions strategy aligned with the company's objectives.
    • Identify market trends, competitive landscape, and new business opportunities to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Client Solutions:
    • Work closely with clients to understand their logistics challenges and develop customized solutions that meet and exceed their expectations.
    • Drive the creation of innovative and value-added services to enhance our solutions portfolio.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other departments such as sales operations, technology, and finance to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between sales and other functional areas to optimize overall business performance.
  • Performance Analysis:
    • Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of sales initiatives.
    • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
  • Contract Negotiation:
    • Lead contract negotiations with key clients, ensuring favorable terms for both the company and the client.
    • Work closely with legal and finance teams to finalize and execute agreements.
  • Team Management:
    • Recruit, train, and develop a skilled and motivated sales and solutions team.
    • Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback to enhance team effectiveness.
    • Create a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.
  • All other duties and projects as assigned.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the logistics or supply chain industry.
  • Strong understanding of chemical logistics operations, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful sales strategies.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com, PowerPoint, Excel and other MS Office products are essential for this position.
