Overview:

Loureiro Contractors, Inc. (LCI) is a Connecticut-based contractor with a broad range of experience in infrastructure development, environmental remediation and demolition. Our in-house capabilities include: site work; concrete construction; soil, groundwater and sediment remediation; roadways; bridges; earth retaining systems; underground utilities; and UST removal and replacement.

LCI has an immediate opening for a Construction Project Manager in our Plainville, CT office. Projects will include a number of diverse heavy/highway, civil/site and/or remediation construction projects. The Project Manager will be involved in all aspects/phases of the projects, both in the office and the field, including start-up, scheduling, submittals, quality control, project safety, cost control and ultimately, the total delivery of the project according to the established plans and specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Read and understand job bid instructions, plans, detailed specifications.
  • Review proposals, specifications, drawing, attend pre-bid meetings.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and vendors.
  • Analyze estimates from subcontractors and suppliers to review for accuracy and negotiate favorable pricing.
  • Create and track contract documents, including clearly written proposals and correspondence.
  • Coordinate with field personnel to create and implement project schedules, manage project scope, and reduce cost exposure.
  • Work together with project personnel to manage costs, project budget and ensure project delivery goals.
  • Oversee and manage contractors during all phases of a project to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Develop relationships with customers and continuously strive to improve client satisfaction.
  • Attend job meetings.
  • Manage a variety of reports, work plans, schedules, and budgets.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field of study.
  • Minimum of 5 years of heavy/highway/site/concrete/remediation project management experience including minimum 2 years' CT DOT project management experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and leadership abilities.
  • Flexible, well organized, detail oriented and multi-tasking skills.
  • Familiarity with working in a union environment is a plus.
  • Experience with Sage Timberline, Primavera, and HCSS software.
