Compliance Manager

Aon Affinity Travel Practice is currently seeking a skilled, experienced professional for its Compliance team who has a strong insurance regulatory background. The ideal candidate for the Compliance Professional position will be enthusiastic and motivated to learn and contribute to the success of the firm.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Garden City, NY office.

What the day will look like

  • Coordinate with our Carriers and respond to Department of Insurance Complaints
  • Research of state regulatory changes, summarize all requirements, and work with internal businesses to implement relevant changes.
  • Ensure proper compliance with all regulatory requirements for our teams
  • Proactively track and communicate State Bulletins
  • Work closely with corporate licensing and legal to ensure businesses are compliant with all company and state requirements.
  • Participate in audits and regulatory activities
  • Develop procedures for internal operations to enhance compliance activities.
  • Respond to various client inquiries re: complaints, benefits, etc.
  • Update regulatory spreadsheet for tracking and audits
  • Other tasks within the Compliance area as needed.

How this opportunity is different

This position will be responsible for processing and managing regulatory compliance inquiries as well as Legal cases.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 3 -5 years related work experience within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Insurance Regulatory Experience required
  • Insurance Licensing Experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Insurance Law preferred
  • Familiarity with insurance regulatory and compliance landscape
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Access)
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle work under pressure
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills required.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and ability to work independently.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $90,000-$120,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
