What we need...

We are currently seeking a Linux Systems Administrator II to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with infrastructure planning, maintenance and troubleshooting. This position is responsible for keeping enterprise hardware and operating systems current by performing routine updates, security administration and completing all necessary diagnostics.

What you'll do...

  • Work in a high paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Some of your work will be in the cloud - supporting Infrastructure in cloud.
  • You will support CI/CD Pipelines
  • You'll be working with Kubernetes containers.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux Operating Systems networks, custom applications, and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot complex system-level or application related problems
  • Respond to ticket requests and emails submitted by employees
  • Perform daily/weekly/monthly health checks of the Linux infrastructure and cloud infrastructure
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery testing
  • Document system and application setups/deployments
  • Supporting large computer deployment within our private Data Centers

If you are customer service focused with a preference for consistency, this position is for you. Local candidates who can be on site in Rocky Hill, CT are preferred for this role. This position is hybrid with flexibility work on site 3 days a week, and remote 2 days per week.

What you'll bring...

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Two to five years on hands-on Corporate IT/Network Support experience with solid technical troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to explain complex issues to end users
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Linux Operating System required - specifically RedHat.
  • Knowledge of NFS Exports, Samba, DHCP, DNS, and SCSI devices
  • VMware vSphere experience a strong plus
  • Knowledge of Shell scripting, Python or Perl a strong plus
  • Experience with Ansible Tower
  • Kubernetes and/or containers
  • CI/CD pipelines, specifically Gitlab CI
  • Ansible and/or Terraform
  • Public cloud: Google, AWS, Azure
  • Cisco UCS or equivalent hardware platforms

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $105,000.
